Umhlanga, KZN | Independent publishing company, FabMags, has launched their latest magazine title, The City Magazine. The magazine follows their highly successful model of community based magazines and brings the model and magazine design and feel to the people of Durban. Community magazines have become increasingly popular with small towns and cities as people focus on the hyper community context of daily living, hungry for stories and photos about life in their part of the world.
The City Magazine will be a collection of stories and content that highlights all that is good about living in one of S.A.’s top cities. Celebrating the aspirational and sought after lifestyle of coastal living which thousands of inland readers crave, the magazine is set to compliment the resurgence that this viby and cultural alive city is going through.
CEO Justin Scott says “This is one of the most exciting titles we’ve worked on and offers us such a broad canvas to engage the community of Durban. Our Ballito, Umhlanga and Richards Bay magazines have really been adopted by the communities they serve and been great successes and now we’re about to tap into a city that has such diversity and depth. The City Magazine is going to be awesome and we cant wait to get the first edition out in December.”
With an estimated readership of 40,000 people for edition one and a further 5,000 online readers targeted the magazine is set to make a mark right from the outset. Make sure you check it out when the first edition hits the streets. FabMags says the magazine is free to the public just like all its titles published.FabMags is an independent publisher with over 15 titles in its stable, servicing communities throughout the province. Passionate about the magic between finger and paper the company reaches over 100,000 readers currently and will see that number increase to over 140,000 with their new title.
